What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundperson Role in Quarry Environment position at The H&K Group?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Groundperson to support production and maintenance during the second shift at our Birdsboro Quarry. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Conduct plant maintenance and upkeep
- Maintain clean work areas, including catwalks, walkways, and general plant area
- Proactively learn plant functions and operations
- Take direction from and work in a team with all other site personnel
- Cross-train to learn all jobs of the plant and be able to substitute when necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
