Job Description
The Pipe Laborer will work on construction projects, transferring from one task to another as required. The role entails performing duties in a utility capacity, often working underground. Key responsibilities include acquiring tools needed for daily operations, measuring distances, bolting and nailing forms, signaling operators of construction equipment, leveling earth, mixing concrete, and positioning and sealing pipe sections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have at least one year of relevant heavy highway construction experience, preferably in underground utilities such as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and structures. Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and physical stamina are also essential. OSHA or other safety certifications are highly valued, as is previous experience in similar roles.
