We are seeking a Plant Operator/Groundperson to maintain the plant on the second shift. The ideal candidate is motivated, energetic, interested, and engaged in learning new skills and carries out work safely. Essential duties and responsibilities include performing all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies, performing plant maintenance, maintaining clean work areas, proactively learning plant functions and operations, obtaining all knowledge to complete assigned tasks, taking direction from and working in a team with all other site personnel, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited educational institution or one month of related experience and/or training. Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work a second shift schedule are also required. Additionally, the ability to fit-test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed and meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, etc.) is necessary.
