Job Description
The Materials Division of H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Lowbed Truck Driver with a Class A CDL. The ideal candidate must have experience driving a lowbed truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversized and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations.

Responsibilities:
- Perform all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on lowbed tractors daily
- Drive lowbed trucks to destinations
- Prepare trailers for equipment pickup
- Load heavy equipment onto trailers
- Drive to assigned job sites and unload equipment from lowbed trailers
- Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations and company policy
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatchers to receive pickup and delivery instructions
- Load and unload trucks
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
- Position blocks and secure equipment during transit in accordance with federal guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- CDL A
- Clean driving record
- 1 year of experience driving a lowbed truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversized and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to fit-test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience driving a lowbed truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversized and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations
- TWIC
- OSHA or other relevant safety training
