We are seeking a motivated and experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Belvidere Sand & Gravel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of plant equipment, ensuring that all work is carried out according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens
- Maintaining a safe working environment, including keeping walkways clear of debris
- Reporting any maintenance issues to the superintendent
- Assisting workers in solving production problems when needed
- Filling out necessary paperwork daily
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- One month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 25 pounds
