Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Groundperson to join our team at the Birdsboro Quarry. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting production and maintenance during the second shift. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Conduct plant maintenance and upkeep
- Maintain clean work areas, including catwalks, walkways, and general plant area
- Proactively learn plant functions and operations
- Take direction from and work in a team with all other site personnel
- Cross-train to learn all jobs of the plant and be able to substitute when necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
