About the Role
The Foreperson directs activities of workers involved in constructing highways, pipelines, or other construction projects for Blooming Glen Contractors, a partner with The H&K Group, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is performed according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Keep a record of daily events in the job diary
- Schedule materials, equipment, and crew work
- Analyze crew SIPs to create site SIPs
- Prepare quantities from crews and send them to the PM for billing
- Analyze cost reports to make production adjustments
- Code and control onsite costs accurately
- Hold regular site meetings
- Attend E&S meetings and Job Turnover meetings
- Communicate goals and purposes clearly
- Set an example and lead the team
- Enforce company values
- Identify misalignments with company values and culture and ensure compliance
- Anticipate customer needs and understand their perspective
- Be familiar with the company's business practices
- Understand the importance of repeat business
- Communicate effectively with customer representatives and represent the Company professionally
- Perform other duties as assigned
