The Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Conduct daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens
- Maintain walkways clear of debris and report spillage issues to the superintendent
- Perform daily guarding inspections and plant checks, reporting any maintenance issues to the superintendent
- Inspect screen media to ensure proper condition for maximum production
- Keep operating booths clean and free from inappropriate materials
- Meet production schedules by carrying out duties and work procedures
- Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency
- Assist workers in solving production problems when needed
- Fulfill daily paperwork requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as GED) from an accredited educational institution OR one month of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, etc.)
