MERCHANDISER | Job Description

A merchandiser is responsible for traveling with the merchandising team to service our customers’ stores within an assigned territory. This position is focused on the general reset of Consumer Package Goods (CPG) at various locations such as grocery and convenience stores. Teamwork and creativity are a must in this position. Merchandisers showcase products at our customers’ retail locations by building and maintaining attractive displays (requires lifting, pushing, and bending). The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment, strong self-management skills, and be able to maintain and foster strong client relationships.

• Monday-Friday
• Every day is a different store(s) at a different location(s). Depending on the hours/location of the customer's store being set, times will vary throughout the week. For example, sometimes a merchandiser will work 7am-4pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 8am-5pm. It always depends on the location of the customer.

JOB DUTIES | What Exactly Will I Be Doing?
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Resetting stores and implementing planograms
• Monitoring shelf conditions and quality, and maintaining visual merchandise standards
• Performing maintenance on delivery with all items tagged and approved by store management
• Taking direction regarding tagging, stocking, rotating, and placing products on shelves
• Communicating proactively and regularly with the sales manager on store sets and issues, and thinking creatively to offer solutions
• Implementing store layout initiatives and taking store specific measurements
• Assembling merchandise and fixtures, hanging and maintaining signage
• Entering traits into and running reports from our communication platform, website, and app—must be tech-savvy!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS | The Must-Haves

• Well-groomed and professional appearance
• Enjoy contributing to a team atmosphere
• Must have proficient computer skills
• Able and willing to lift, pull, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Self-directed and able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
• Possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle
• Be dependable, punctual, and work as scheduled
• Pass pre-employment drug screen & physical
• Must be 18 for consideration
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in retail preferred
