The Hagedorn Little Village School, Jack Joel Center for Special Children (HLVS) is highly regarded for providing outstanding educational and therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities.
We are looking for a speech therapist to join our team of passionate therapists to provide pediatric therapy to CPSE and CSE students.
Position:
- Licensed Speech Pathologist with CCC,TSHH/TSSLD
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
- NYS Medicaid Approval
Job Summary/Requirements:
- Provide mandated speech services in accordance with the IEP, children ranging in age from 3 to 12 years.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student.
- Collaborate with families and other peers to support student’s progress and goals.
- Maintain timely and accurate report and or record keeping.
- Complete assessments, testing and evaluations as required.
- Knowledge of children with hearing impairments a plus
- Therapeutic feeding a plus
- PROMPT Training a plus
- Experience with AAC, ABA, and/or Bilingualism a plus
Hours:
- Monday through Friday 8:00-4:00
- School Calendar, plus 6-week summer session
Benefits:
- Annual Salary - $62,600-$70,500 commensurate with experience

Initial medical exam and background clearances are mandatory.
