What we're looking for: We are currently seeking a seasoned Construction General Superintendent with a focus on large-scale commercial projects in key sectors including Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Education, Corporate, Institutional, and Light Industrial.

What we're looking for: We are currently seeking a seasoned Construction General Superintendent with a focus on large-scale commercial projects in key sectors including Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Education, Corporate, Institutional, and Light Industrial.
Ideal Candidate:
- Oversee field operations for construction management projects and general trades teams, focusing on project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to foster a cooperative team environment.
- Assign project teams, including Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Foremen, to align with project goals and maximize profits.
- Manage Project Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Engage with Project Estimators to review estimates and provide technical feedback.
- Implement strategies to optimize construction efficiency, minimize risks, and ensure safety compliance. Identify process improvement opportunities and best practices.
- Allocate equipment within budget to meet project needs and research purchasing recommendations for tools and equipment.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address potential issues, and ensure compliance.
- Monitor project performance regarding budget, schedule, and quality, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Review productivity and financial reports, and collaborate with project leaders to address irregularities.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes within budgetary constraints, and facilitate personnel development.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to promote construction services and create new business opportunities.
- Monitor the workforce and maintain positive relationships with union representatives to comply with collective bargaining agreements.
- Prepare and present project status reports, and reinforce safety management practices across all projects.
- Perform additional supervisory responsibilities as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 15 years of progressive field construction experience, typically as a craftworker, foreperson, Assistant Project Superintendent, Superintendent, Sr. Superintendent, or other related role, including at least 10 years of supervisory experience. BA/BS/AS or other accredited degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience.
- High level of technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities of project delivery and scopes of work, especially self-performance of carpentry trades, equivalent to that derived from construction or engineering-related training.
- Proficiency in reading plans and specifications and must have overall knowledge of construction industry, i.e., mechanical, electrical, etc. Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand project finances.
