What we're looking for: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax regulations, extensive knowledge of the CMiC systems, and exceptional leadership and communication skills. This role is vital for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while promoting a positive work culture.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the payroll process for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Utilize the CMiC system to manage payroll functions effectively.
- Ensure accuracy of various payroll deductions related to multiple craftworker unions
- Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Communicate proactively with employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and ensure payment of payroll taxes in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data management.
- Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Assist with audits related to payroll and taxation as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a people manager role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in CMIC software required.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
