- Understand thoroughly and articulate with enthusiasm the details of The Halal Guys' food menu and beverages
- Anticipate what the customer wants and does not want
- Know how and when to provide what the customer needs, wants and does not yet know they want, tactfully and with confidence
- Take the extra step to turn good service into great service and make it an experience each customer will remember
- Teach and lead other members of the service team
- Act as the consummate host, always looking for ways to exceed our customer's expectations
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the restaurant.
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the restaurant
- Handling procedures per The Halal Guys standards
- Prepares all food items according to The Halal Guys SOP manual
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Knows and complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, rice cooker, and refrigeration equipment
- Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations; assists others in closing the kitchen
- Attends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty
