Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Monitor to maintain a safe and orderly environment, ensuring our school remains conducive to educational excellence. This role is crucial in supporting a structured school day from student arrival to departure, under the supervision and guidance of school administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain assigned areas, ensuring all students are supervised and safe.
- Actively participate in crisis response teams, utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage and prevent disruptions.
- Support the enforcement of school policies and procedures, including safety and behavioral standards.
- Assist with the management of student movements and activities throughout the school day, ensuring students are where they are supposed to be.
- Collaborate with school staff to enhance the overall school climate and student experience.
- Serve as a positive role model for students and colleagues, demonstrating professional conduct and respect.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with students, staff, and the school community.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- The role requires physical activities including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, standing, and walking.
- The Monitor will work inside school premises with occasional outdoor supervision duties under varying weather conditions.
Starting Salary: $22,956 - $29,588
