The Hancock Market is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Clerk to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, product features, and store policies to effectively assist customers.
- Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is organized and displayed attractively.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing change accurately.
- Experience in retail sales is preferred, along with familiarity with retail math concepts.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Ability to stock merchandise efficiently while maintaining an organized workspace.
