Handy Man

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to handle various maintenance and repair tasks efficiently. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in delivering high-quality results. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing repairs, installations, and general upkeep of facilities, ensuring everything is in optimal condition.

Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and installations, including the use of an ohmmeter to test electrical systems.
• Address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture installations.
• Assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
• Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal.
• Ensure all work areas are clean and organized after completing tasks.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies required for repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as an ohmmeter.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and management.
• Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual labor.
• Must have tools
• Background check required
• Must have a vehicle

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
