Our Auto Liability team is currently seeking a Sr. Adjuster in our Southfield, MI - Howell, MI - Richmond, VA - Phoenix, AZ - Atlanta, GA - Henderson, NV and/or Worcester, MA location.
The Hanover Insurance Group has adopted a Hybrid work model that allows for 2 or 3 days of remote work each week with the balance of time being in the office to engage with peers and managers to continue to develop a strong cultureThis is a full time, exempt role. POSITION OVERVIEW:
Fully responsible for the analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of complex claims requiring thorough investigations including telephone contacts with the involved parties; technical expertise and complex analysis. Claim assignments are regional and may involve both personal and commercial customers.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and negotiate claims of minimal to moderate complexity using discretion and independent judgment in claim handling.
Be responsible for some to all aspects of each claim, including informal hearings, arbitrations and small claims litigation and maintaining a high level of productivity, confidentiality, and customer service.
Handle claims that will involve moderate complexity, severity and exposures, complex personal and commercial inside.
Implement and coordinate the most effective management techniques to mitigate loss and expense payments.
Work within specific limits and authority on assignments of moderate technical complexity.
Possess functional knowledge and skills reflective of fully competent practitioner.
May provide training and mentoring to adjusters.
Have or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
Prior Bodily Injury claims handling experience 4 years
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Promotes and facilitates free and open communication
Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations, and case law
Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner
Easily adapts to new or different changing situations, requirements, or priorities
