Senior IT Project Manager (REMOTE OR MA BASED)

Our Commercial Lines team is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project manager to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office. This is full time, exempt role.

POSITION OVERVIEW :

We are looking for a proven technology delivery leader with a desire to help drive strategic business outcomes for our Commercial Lines business units.

The position offers the opportunity to partner with business and technology leadership at the Hanover while leading a cross-functional team delivering on a multi-year roadmap.

As a member of the team, you are expected to lead the execution and delivery of technology projects while collaborating with business partners to advance the Commercial Lines organization. You are methodical, have excellent communication and time management skills - and can utilize those skills effectively across various business units.

Ultimately, the Project Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of technology projects of varying complexity.

With your solid blend of technical, and business facing skills, you will successfully partner with areas across the enterprise to lead delivery of projects in their area.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL :

• Lead complex projects and has accountability for the estimating, planning, scheduling, tracking, management of risk, budget, change management, problem resolution, reporting and communication.
• Manage interdependencies within their projects
• Provide transparency and reporting to overall governance and steering structure
• Lead the interaction with business partners, project team members, other IT colleagues, and external vendors to ensure clarity of the business problem, outcome and scope and ensures issues and risks are understood and resolved.
• Be responsible for building team alignment, encouraging team effort and successes, embracing continuous performance improvement through coaching, modeling the way, and developing followership through his / her daily interactions with the team.
• Manage the vendor outcome through active collaboration and feedback with Program Management and Vendor Management
• Solicits and applies standards and best practices as defined by the project management Center of Excellence (Coe) and the Project Management Office (PMO)
