Dock Master

Job Summary:

The Dock Master is responsible for managing marina operations, including dock maintenance, customer service, and staff supervision. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the marine industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in marina management, boating operations, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily marina operations, including docking, slip assignments, and reservations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to boat owners, tenants, and visitors.
• Supervise and schedule marina staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Enforce marina rules and regulations to maintain safety and order.
• Monitor and maintain docks, fuel stations, and other facilities for safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of marina infrastructure, including pilings, walkways, and utilities.
• Assist with vessel arrivals and departures, ensuring proper docking and mooring procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of slip assignments, billing, and customer interactions.
• Work closely with the marina owners to implement policies and improvements.
• Respond to emergencies, including inclement weather situations, vessel issues, and customer concerns.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dock Master, Marina Manager, or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of boating operations, marina management, and waterfront safety.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency in basic administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and billing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Work Location: In person
