About the Role: In this position, you will be responsible for managing jobsite layout and construction surveys on one or multiple complex construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform staking and layout for various items of work, including concrete pavement, base, subgrade, underground utilities.
- Check grade for various items of work and maintain as-built drawings on assigned projects.
- Coordinate with office staff to ensure all project changes are incorporated into applicable AutoCAD files and models.
- Verify control & set temporary control points when necessary.
- Attend jobsite meetings when necessary
- Manage 1-2 employees who will assist with layout & grade checks.
- Ensure field policies and procedures are being followed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction surveying is required.
- Previous experience with Topcon total station and Trimble Business Center is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership qualities & work ethic
- Valid driver's license
