The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Provides early childhood intervention services including initial evaluations and reassessments of child development and speech language pathology services to infants and toddlers 0-3 years old. Responsible for a caseload to provide Speech Language Pathology. Requires travel to child’s home or other community site and flexible working hours.

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Provides early childhood intervention services including initial evaluations and reassessments of child development and speech language pathology services to infants and toddlers 0-3 years old. Responsible for a caseload to provide Speech Language Pathology. Requires travel to child’s home or other community site and flexible working hours.
Your Role In Action
- Assesses development for initial and annual eligibility.
- Reassesses development and ongoing progress in order to meet child and family needs.
- Develops initial Individual Family Service Plans [IFSP] with team members including the family.
- Reviews IFSPs every 6 months and annually
- Documents every contact and attempts to contact families electronically.
- Submits electronic documentation according to agency policy.
- Meets requirements to comply with ECI procedural safeguards and confidentiality.
- Meets ECI and agency required training policies.
- Meets requirements to renew speech language pathologist license.
- Provides SLPA and SLP CFY mentoring speech supervision.
- Provides speech language pathology services based on the child’s IFSP goals.
What qualifications you will need:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience working with children 0-3 years old preferred.
- Must have well developed interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills and be a team player with a desire to provide a high level of customer service.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Requires licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of TX.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
- Cooperative and willing to assist others.
- Excellent organizational skills.
