Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration and may supervise CNA's as directed.
- Provides activities for daily living by assisting with serving meals, ambulating, turning and positioning patients, providing nurishments between meals.
- Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weights, testing urine, recording intake and output information.
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials, transporting patients, answering patient's call lights and reporting observations of the patient to Wellness Director.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Maintains work organizations by following policies and procedures.
- Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
- Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, Federal, State and local requirements and CSL standards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, maintaining licensure.
- Effectively schedules staff to meet the business needs while adhering to the State and Federal regulatory requirements.
- Assist with verify payroll and manages PTO request for clinical staff.
- Communicates directly with residents, families, medical staff, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members and Department heads to coordinate care and services.
- Improve organization and implementation of service plans to maintain quality of care, quality of life and homelike environment for all residents as needed.
- Report findings of compliance rounds to Wellness Director on a daily basis. Designs, implements and evaluates actions to continuously improve quality, care and cleanliness.
- Will be required to work the floor as a caregiver or nurse as needed to assist in resident care and third party staff elimination.
- Comply with the community's privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all State and Federal health privacy laws as outlined in HIPPA.
- Must be a licensed LPN or RN in the State of Indiana.
