Role Overview :
The Vice President (VP) - IT Services Investment Banking will play a pivotal role in driving strategic advisory and transaction execution for clients in the IT services sector. The VP will work closely with senior leadership to originate, structure, and execute M&A transactions, capital raises, and other financial solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the IT services landscape, strong technical skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Relationship Management :
Build and maintain relationships with clients across the IT services sector, including consulting firms, managed service providers, and technology outsourcing companies.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their strategic goals and providing tailored financial and strategic solutions.Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and industry conferences.Transaction Leadership :Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions, equity offerings, and debt financing for IT services clients.
Oversee the preparation of pitch books, financial models, offering memoranda, and transaction marketing materials.Manage all aspects of transaction execution, including due diligence, valuation analysis, negotiation, and closing.Market & Industry Expertise :Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the IT services sector, including industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes.
Provide clients with strategic insights and actionable recommendations based on market analysis.Leverage industry expertise to identify and pursue new business opportunities.Team Leadership & Development :Mentor and guide Analysts and Associates, reviewing their work and fostering professional growth.
Lead deal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and successful outcomes for clients.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.Cross-Functional Collaboration :Partner with product specialists, geographic teams, and senior bankers to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, including legal advisors, accountants, and consultants, to ensure seamless transaction execution.Coordinate with other industry groups within the firm to identify cross-sector opportunities.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; MBA or CFA strongly preferred.6-10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a focus on IT services or technology.Strong technical skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.Proven ability to manage complex transactions and lead multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.High attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.Preferred Skills & Attributes :
