Catering Sales Manager
Location: Center City Commissary
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: Director of Sales / General Manager
Job Summary:
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating catering sales, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role involves planning and executing catering events, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring excellent service delivery to exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Sales & Business Development
- Generate catering sales through prospecting, networking, and inbound inquiries.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and social groups.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close catering deals.
- Meet and exceed revenue targets and sales goals.
✅ Event Coordination & Execution
- Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and create customized catering proposals.
- Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Coordinate event logistics, including menu selection, staffing, setup, and on-site management.
- Oversee event execution to ensure client satisfaction and handle any last-minute adjustments.
✅ Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with repeat and new clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Address and resolve any client concerns or issues professionally.
✅ Administrative & Financial Duties
- Prepare and track catering contracts, proposals, and invoices.
- Monitor budgets and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and revenue forecasts.
✅ Marketing & Promotion
- Partner with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for catering services.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads.
- Maintain an updated portfolio of catering offerings and event packages.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 years of experience in catering sales, hospitality, or event planning.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency with catering software, CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
