Key Responsibilities
Start date: 7/7/2024
Work hours: Core Business Hours – Typical 8AM-5PM time zones – core hours based on the time zones of the States that you are assigned to handle.
Training hours: 4-6 weeks, 8AM - 5PM EST (Paid Training)
Travel for training: Week 5& 6 of training (8/04/25 – 8/8/2025), you will be required to travel (paid by The Hartford) to Connecticut for learning lab.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of claims, with a focus on financial accuracy, appropriate file disposition, and an adherence to statutory guidelines.
- Investigating ABI claims to determine liability exposures and subrogation.
- Handling of injury exposures with attorneys as well as unrepresented parties.
- Provide exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers through adherence to The Hartford’s standards of communication.
- Ability to make decisions with the customer at the center of everything we do.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to gather and analyze information and data to make sound decisions.
- Continually evaluate self against performance targets and strive to exceed expectations.
- Contribute to a courageous culture that promotes collaboration and inclusion to maximize operational performance and employee engagement. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leverage contemporary technology to achieve accurate and efficient claim outcomes.
- College degree preferred, and/or 1 years of related customer service experience or applicable insurance knowledge.
- Experience adjusting auto claims in both physical damage and auto bodily injury for a minimum of 2 years (PDO) Familiar with attorney and not attorney repped claims.
- Commercial Auto background preferred, but not required.

- You will be required to successfully complete a multi-week New Hire Training Curriculum. You should have no schedule conflicts during training.
- Furniture is not provided for remote work; it is necessary to have a designated area that is quiet and ergonomically acceptable for typing and talking on the phone.
- This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our offices (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Only requirement is you agree to work the necessary core hours based on the time zones of the States that you are assigned to handle. After the completion of training, this role will support our customers in Central, Mountain and/or Pacific time zones and will be expected to work corresponding Core Business Hours based on the time zones of the states you are assigned to handle.
- Travel Requirements: As part of the multi-week new hire training program, you may be required to travel for two (2) weeks for learning lab – which will be in Hartford, CT. Date of learning lab week 5 & 6 of training (8/04/2025 – 8/08/2025). All travel expenses and arrangements are paid for by The Hartford.
