What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hat Shoppe Designer Team Member position at The Hat Shoppe?
Do you love designing hats? We are looking to hire hat designer team members to work closely with clients to create custom hats for the races, weddings, etc. You will be trained on how to work with different materials and embellishments. Decorating experience (of any kind), having a creative eye, hand sewing, glueing, and knowing sewing measurements is a must. There will be opportunities to assist at our Hat Bar, Themed Hat Events, and Workshops. This position will also help with daily retail operations like helping customers with everyday hats, restocking, inventory, organizing, and cleaning.
Skills/Abilities:
- Reliable, Self Sufficient, Organized, Pays Attention to Detail
- Experience in working 1one1 with customers to effectively communicate a creative vision
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with hat purchases
- Strong sales skills to meet or exceed sales targets
- Excellent phone etiquette for assisting customers over the phone
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends
- Love for hats and fashion
Commissions are earned with every custom hat! Being able to work weekends is a plus. Employee discounts.
