The Hatch Group, Inc. is looking for a Commercial Asphalt Sales Representative to join our team in our Plainville, MA office. This person will actively seek out and engage prospective and existing customers to offer commercial asphalt services to such as paving, reclamation, infrared repairs, sealcoating, line striping and pavement preservation plans.
The ideal candidate is results-driven, dedicated to developing and cultivating a book of business, hungry for customer acquisition, and passionate about getting our brand in front of our customer base and educating them in the process.
Responsibilities:
Travel: 60%Travel required to be on job sites, complete site walks, and meet with customers as needed throughout the New England area with a focus in Greater Boston, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire.

- Demonstrate, promote, and understand the asphalt industry - Strategically present functionality and key value propositions to prospective customers
- Develop and foster relationships - Maintain close communications with prospects and existing customers to close sales and promote customer retention
- Meet and exceed targets - Achieve monthly and quarterly individual and team goals for new customer acquisition
- Track progress and results - Record prospect interactions and track goal attainment in HubSpot system
- Research and understand target market - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and The Hatch Group’s overall market opportunity
- 1-2 years experience selling asphalt, construction, or similar industry services
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Excellent ability to manage and build relationships
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed acquisition goals
- Advanced skills in communicating, selling and negotiating
- Unrelenting drive to understand and meet prospective customer needs
- Familiarity with HubSpot and Google Suite
