We are looking for a reliable experienced asphalt roller operator to join our company team.
Roller Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Safely operate roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness.
- Participate and promote a team approach and maintain a positive and helpful attitude with team members.
- Work in a safe and responsible manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Relevant license and safety certification (OSHA10)
- Prior experience operating equipment (roller, screw, compactor)
- Experience with up to 10lb ton
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow orders, especially under pressure.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- A sound understanding of health and safety codes.
- A positive outlook and a willingness to learn.
