The Haven at Columbus is seeking Medication Technician to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in administering medication to patients and monitoring their reactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medication administration and a passion for providing quality healthcare.

Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed orders and protocols
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper medication management and patient care
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Provide support and assistance to patients with special needs

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medication Technician training program or certification
- Previous experience working in an acute care or medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Ability to accurately phlebotomize patients is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Medication administration: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Medication Aide (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Columbus, GA 31909 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Columbus, GA 31909: Relocate before starting work (Required)
