What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at The Hawk Group?
The purpose of the position of Quality Manager is to provide oversight of the management of quality by the Project team and contractors. This is to ensure that quality systems are in place to guarantee the Facilities are designed, constructed, and commissioned in a manner that is safe to operate and is fit for purpose and reliable over the defined service life.
• Ensure all personnel reporting to the position of Quality Manager are adequately trained for the position, have the required competencies, and are familiar with the applicable policies and procedures.
• Development of processes and procedures to support the quality management plan.
• Develop schedules for, and perform audits, to investigate and determine possible non-conformances and recommend appropriate actions.
• Collate and research information to assist with quality management.
• Attend regular meetings with project owners to discuss quality compliance and implementation.
• Provide technical expertise to assist the project team in resolving quality assurance and control related issues.
• Ensure compliance with project control requirements, including change and risk management.
• Assist in the implementation of project document control systems.
• Prepare and maintain management level summaries of the appropriate quality KPI’s.
Quality Management Accountabilities – Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction
• Ensuring that all design deliverables meet the project requirements.
• Ensuring that all design documentation and deliverables have been checked and have been subjected to a systematic verification process prior to final approval and issue.
• Offer technical assistance where required, particularly related to quality and technical requirements for purchased material.
• Develop a quality assurance program for the project elements, integrated with the contractors selected for the various elements.
• Participate in kick-off and pre-production meetings for all critical materials and equipment to ensure project deliverables and standards are maintained.
• Assistance with the evaluation of contractors (and their subcontractors if required) to ensure that they have the capabilities and experience to meet the requirements specified by the Project.
