What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set-up position at The Hawthorne Inn & Conference Center?
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and breaking down event spaces:This includes arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary equipment according to the event's specific requirements.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization:Maintaining a clean and organized venue, including tables, floors, and other areas.
- Stocking and replenishing supplies:Ensuring that necessary supplies, such as linens, china, glassware, and silverware, are available and in good condition.
- Following event orders:Carefully reading and executing all aspects of the Banquet Event Order (BEO) with attention to detail.
- Assisting with other tasks:May be required to assist with other tasks, such as serving food or drinks, or providing customer service.
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude:Providing excellent customer service to guests and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Completing final breakdown:Cleaning the room and returning equipment to its proper location after the event.
- Storing reusable goods:Storing all reusable goods, locking doors, and breaking down goods as needed.
- Stocking and maintaining work areas:Setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
