Jennings-Dill, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial HVAC systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and efficiency of our clients' facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic and Repair Expertise:
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment, including heat pumps (up to 25 tons), split systems (up to 25 tons), packaged units (up to 25 tons), ductless splits, and associated electrical and mechanical components.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to refrigerant controls, electrical motors, and heating systems.
- Preventative Maintenance and Installation:
- Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance tasks to optimize system performance and longevity.
- Execute professional installations of HVAC systems in accordance with building plans and specifications.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Interpret and utilize wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Employ diagnostic tools, including multimeters and manifold gauge sets, for accurate system analysis.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of refrigeration and heating components and operation, including refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including work order completion and resolution reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team leads, and clients.
- Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to all jobsite and company safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair (preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and heating principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various prolonged positions (standing, kneeling, climbing ladders).
- Ability to discern color coded wiring.
- Licensing and Certification:
- Valid driver's license (required).
