Our Company manufactures tools for electrical contractors, offering more than 100 products, including cable pullers, conduit benders, and knockout sets. We are based in Upstate Greenville, South Carolina off of 85 and Hwy 29, and the Company is proud of its national connections, as well as its customer service. We are currently looking for a Compliance/Safety Administrator.
JOB SUMMARY: The Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all environmental, safety, and industry regulations and standards. This role involves implementing and monitoring environmental and other compliance activities, conducting audits, managing documentation, preparing reports, and coordinating with regulatory agencies. Requires familiarity with environmental and safety laws and regulations, strong organizational skills, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain environmental policies and procedures. Ensure these policies are communicated effectively across the organization. Stay updated on changes in environmental laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
- Training and Education: Provide training and support to employees on environmental compliance matters. Promote environmental awareness and best practices within the organization.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Stay updated on changes in environmental laws and adjust policies and practices as needed. Communicate with federal, state, and local authorities as necessary.
- Audits and Inspections: Conduct ongoing audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and manage audit reports and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including permits, inspections, and incident reports. Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
- Incident Management: Manage and respond to environmental incidents and emergencies. Coordinate with relevant internal and external departments to mitigate impacts and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess compliance risks. Develop strategies to minimize risks and implement best practices for environmental management.
- Accomplish various tasks as determined by the Director of Continuous Improvement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- 4 years job-related work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to follow up on pending issues
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Preferred: manufacturing or industrial services experience
