Set-up Technician
Job Purpose
The purpose of a Senior Operator is to remove, install, and process a variety of molds that thermoform our product line. Training to specific Objective Based Instructions (OBI) that lay out a clear path for success and growth within the company. Become a team member of individuals that are vital to our daily success. Be a reliable resource for production personnel to help troubleshoot processing and quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Make required mold changes on industrial machinery, both installation and removal
- Make changes to machinery that optimize production output and reduce scrap
- Perform set-up process for industrial molds within manufacturing environment
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on molds within manufacturing facility
- Understand the production process as it relates to Plastic Thermoforming
- Operator overhead crane and forklifts as necessary to move molds
- Troubleshoot production and quality issues and provide feedback on discoveries
- Work in a safe manner to not jeopardize yourself, your teammate or company property.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficient mechanical skills and basic electrical knowledge
- Prior mold or die maintenance experience is preferred
- Tow motor, Overhead Crane and LOTO (lock out tag out) certified will be trained and tested on-site
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have flexibility to a work schedule
- Demonstrates the ability to critically think and problem solve with relation to mechanical and production challenges
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must adhere to all safety guidelines and foster a safe work culture
- Must be able to lift to 100 pounds as necessary
