The Financial Program Specialist, KI Concerts at Headfirst Companies is a key contributor to the company’s overall financial efficiency and integrity, with a clearly defined focus in the KI division. Our Financial Program Specialist, KI Concerts is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of KI accounts receivable and collection cycle, producing regularly scheduled and ad hoc financial reports and forecasts, and handling all finance-related customer care matters. The Financial Program Specialist, KI Concerts will use their strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and solid understanding of accounting principles and practices to continually uphold and improve KI financial processes.

 

The Financial Program Specialist, KI Concerts is a part-time role, expected to average approximately 20 hours per week.

 

The ideal candidate will be based in the greater Washington D.C. area and interested and able to either (1) work primarily from our Washington, D.C. HQ offices or (2) maintain a hybrid work arrangement with regularly scheduled in-office workdays. Fully remote work arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

 

Compensation: $30.00-$35.00/hour


What You'll Do

  • Manage the KI Accounts Receivable function within the QuickBooks Online subledger in conjunction with our third-party collection platform.
  • Manage daily KI Concerts revenue deposits.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting for KI Concerts sales.
  • Ensure KI Concerts compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Support cross-functional customer care projects and requests.
  • Maintain productive and proactive communication channels, and foster strong working relationships, with internal sales & operations stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process, policy, & protocol improvement and efficiency.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with additional financial certification viewed favorably.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant accounting industry work experience, including in full-cycle accounting.
  • Interest in and availability to work in a part-time role averaging about 20 hours per week; the ability to work at least some of those hours in person out of Headfirst’s Washington D.C. headquarters will be viewed favorably.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant accounting principles.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, & Power Point).
  • Proven ability to operate independently supervising an accounting function.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Applicable experience and knowledge-building working in QuickBooks.
  • Working knowledge of, and strong aptitude for skill-/knowledge-building regarding, financial reporting software.
  • Ability to effectively advocate for business needs while remaining diplomatic and maintaining positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, leveraging strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders (including senior leadership).
  • Ability to problem-solve and apply previous takeaways and lessons learned to similar problems when they reoccur.
  • Capacity to manage multiple work streams in an organized manner, adhere to strict deadlines, and coordinate with/communicate urgency to colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure mission-critical tasks and projects stay on track.
  • Ability to think ahead to how issues and decisions will impact customer experience, and to exercise good judgment to balance competing experiential and operational interests.
