POSITION SUMMARY
The Detox Supervisor is responsible for supervising detox and overnight staff and facilitating the safe, uninterrupted services of the Detox unit and overnight shelter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Oversee staffing for Detox / Shelter, to include hiring, training and development, organizing and overseeing monthly staff meetings, and addressing performance concerns.
- Maintain a detox and shelter environment that is fully consistent with the Healing Place social recovery model.
- Ensure compliance with AODE licensure and required staff training
- Supervise and monitor all daily functions and processes in Detox / Overnight
- Manage staff schedules
- Work with the program managers and other supervisory staff to coordinate client care and address continuum of care issues.
- Refer clients to appropriate detox facilities and treatment programs.
- Monitor day to day client issues in Detox.
- Collect and analyze detox specific data and report to appropriate departments.
- Review and investigate incidents reports.
- Supervise charts and intakes for accuracy and consistency; Supervise client charts to ensure accuracy of documentation.
- Intake and discharge clients.
- Serve as liaison for clients involved in other systems such as legal, family, criminal justice, etc.
- Work with financial department to maintain proper staffing budget and compliance.
- Be accessible to staff.
- Continue to build professionalism and knowledge by attending training and education.
