POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the uninterrupted operation of Detox and Facility Services at The Healing Place of New Hanover County. This includes holding a position of responsibility for program operations during the assigned shift. The Monitor Team Leader shall document activities, respond to emergencies, perform crisis intervention and ensure individuals adhere to facility guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate daily assignments and job duties of the facility Monitor Team
- Serve as a point of contact for the monitor staff on-duty
- Capture client data during the admission process and create client electronic medical records
- Ensure that facility staff and clients follow facility guidelines
- Ensure that hourly rounds are performed by the Facility Monitor Team
- Ensure that the Facility Monitor Team documents and responds to critical situations and emergencies
- Ensure that the Facility Monitor Team performs property searches for contraband when necessary
- Ensure that the Facility Monitor Team performs preliminary drug screens on clients when necessary
- Ensure that the Facility Monitor Team performs and documents admission and discharges to the facility
- Ensure that the Facility Monitor Team performs and documents emergency drills when necessary
- Must be able to perform any function of a facility monitor in the Detox or Overnight departments
- Ensure the safety of facility staff and clients, including addressing any situation that may present a possible threat to any person within the facility
- Must be willing to provide transportation to clients as needed.
- Must be willing to complete administrative tasks at the direction of supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalency required
- Some experience working in residential recovery program preferred
- Must be CPR certified
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time on your feet (walking, standing)
- Ability to project a professional image
- Must be able to lift 50lbs. on occasion
- Valid Driver's License required
