What are the responsibilities and job description for the Women's Health PTA position at The Healing Spot Physical Therapy?
Are you a Physical Therapist Assistant ready to focus on delivering specialized, transformative treatments without the stress of a high-volume, insurance-based clinic?
Do you thrive in a holistic care setting, working with women who need relief from back pain, pelvic floor issues, or postnatal recovery challenges?
We’re seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant who will primarily focus on administering Shockwave Therapy (80% of client care time) and assisting with physical therapy patient care (20% of the time) in our women’s health and pelvic floor clinic. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, read on to see what makes this role a standout opportunity.
What We Offer:
- A Part-Time to Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant role with accrued paid time off, CEU allowance, and in-house training to support your well-being and clinical growth.
- Primary Role in Shockwave Therapy: As we expand our services, we’re looking for a PTA passionate about leading Shockwave Treatment sessions to help our clientele. In this role, up to 80% of your time will involve delivering Shockwave Treatments in a dedicated, slower-paced environment focused on high-quality care.
- Physical Therapy Assistance: The other 20% of your role will involve direct patient care, working alongside our experienced physical therapists in treating women’s health issues, especially pelvic floor dysfunction and orthopedic concerns.
- One-on-One Patient Care: Treat one patient at a time in a private treatment room, with Shockwave sessions typically lasting 20–40 minutes and PT sessions lasting 60 minutes. Paid documentation time between sessions ensures you end each day feeling accomplished and energized.
- An Inviting, Positive Environment: Work in a setting that values your personality and creativity, where you’ll collaborate with a supportive team and have fun with patients. If a light-hearted, respectful workplace doesn’t appeal to you, this may not be the right fit.
- A Community of Invested Patients: Our cash-based practice attracts clients who are fully engaged and committed to following your guidance. We provide a collaborative team culture, where you’ll use both your clinical expertise and communication skills to help clients achieve their health goals.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Become a Shockwave Therapy Expert: We provide training in Shockwave Therapy and the opportunity to educate clients and the public about its benefits for pelvic floor and orthopedic healing. You’ll be the face of this innovative service, helping grow awareness in the community.
- Focus on Quality Care: Our practice is structured for a slower pace than most in-network clinics, giving you the freedom to deliver quality, one-on-one treatments and connect with clients without feeling rushed.
- Collaborate with a Skilled Team: Work alongside pelvic floor specialists in a holistic, supportive environment. If you’re new to the pelvic floor specialty, please note that we’re looking for an experienced PTA (1 years) confident in women’s health and orthopedic treatment, rather than entry-level candidates.
- Opportunities Beyond Treatment: When not in session, contribute to the clinic by creating marketing content, calling clients, participating in consultations (Discovery Sessions), and supporting our mission of exceptional women’s health care.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a confident, experienced Women’s Health Pelvic Floor PTA with at least one year’s experience. You should be passionate about helping women heal, knowledgeable in orthopedic and pelvic health care, and excited to use Shockwave Therapy to bring relief to our clients. If you’ve worked with prenatal and postpartum patients, that’s a plus!
Please apply only if you have:
- A strong background in women’s health and orthopedics, particularly in pain relief and pelvic floor therapy.
- A willingness to learn about Shockwave Therapy and an eagerness to promote this service to the public.
- A passion for delivering holistic, transformative care in a collaborative, cash-based practice.
Compensation:
- $35 per PT patient for time spent in physical therapy care and up to $40 per hour for Shockwave Therapy sessions, allowing passionate and motivated clinicians to earn a generous income based on service delivery.
- For time spent on training, marketing, or admin tasks, the base rate starts at $25 per hour.
