The Health Center at Research Park is looking for a Director Of Rehab to join our team!

The primary purpose of your job position is to: A PT, OT or SLP is responsible for the leadership, management, day to day operations and overall success of rehab services for the facility. Position will direct the rehab departments of physical, occupational, and speech therapy, to ensure that the highest quality rehab services are provided and in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards. The position is classified as salaried exempt and is justified by a program requiring at least 50% of time dedicated to the management of the department. Each DOR will also need to review a discipline specific job description.

This position reports to the facility Executive Director and is supported by a Therapy Resource

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in our established policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to and assures compliance with Code of Conduct, facility policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards as promulgated by Federal, State, and accrediting agencies or regulating bodies. This includes, but is not limited to, Department of Health, Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Assures that all staff complete required compliance training and processes.
  • Implements and monitors the provision of facility Rehab Policy and Procedures
  • With clinician input, assigns patient caseload and other responsibilities to staff
  • Orients, trains, supports and counsels therapy department to improve job performance and to maintain high standards of care using evidence based practice.
  • Establishes monthly department goals and objectives in conjunction with the facility’s objectives
  • Supervises rehab staff and ensures effective rehab staff orientation, training and ongoing competency including licensure and certification verification.
  • Coordinates rehab admissions and distribution of caseload including productivity management
  • Acts as a rehab case manager for HMO patients or other complex cases
  • Working knowledge of various payers and regulatory requirements for each
  • Ensures that rehab department is compliant with all regulatory issues as established by Federal, State and company requirements.
  • Ensures compliance and accuracy with treatment minutes and other administrative records, as assigned
  • Ensures rehab department is providing skilled, clinically appropriate and evidence-based care.
  • Develop quality standards for program outcomes, performance improvement, customer satisfaction data, documentation, educational needs, and clinical standards.
  • Establish and administer business development initiatives and marketing strategies for programs and services. Implement changes that impact programs based on outcome data.
  • Promoting staff to develop effective physician partnerships and referral relations. Monitoring physician referral trends and adjusting site strategies accordingly. Formulate, implement and monitor short and long-range goals in conjunction with other leadership.
  • Represents the rehab department in the interdisciplinary team at assigned meetings
  • Oversees provision of appropriate interdisciplinary education programs
  • Responsible to recruit, develop, and retains top talent and train high-quality therapy staff.
  • Gives input to department policies and procedures and assures employee compliance
  • Communicates effectively with administration regarding programs, goals, objectives, problems and successes
  • Communicates effectively with physicians regarding patient problems, progress and service programs
  • Communicates effectively to the public and to medical personnel outside the facility regarding the therapy services offered by the facility
  • Participates in in-service training programs for facility staff and for community education
  • Is familiar with revenue/expense information and controls the expenditure of funds to meet budgetary requirements
  • Provides patient care
  • Adherence to Company required policy and procedures and code of conduct.
  • Active State Licensure/Registration and National Certification for required disciplines
  • COMPLIANCE AND INTEGRITY: Models and reinforces ethical behavior in self and to others in accordance with the Code of Conduct; adheres to organizational policies and guidelines; supports compliance initiatives; maintains confidences; admits mistakes; conducts business with honesty; shows consistency in words and actions; follows through on commitments.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Educational Requirements:

  • PT, OT or SLP and must be a graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology.

Experience: At least three (3) years in a supervisory role.

Specific Requirements:

  • Employee must hold current and active State license/Registration/Certification.
  • Supervisory and/or administrative experience in rehabilitative long term care preferred
  • Knowledge of the Medicare PPS System preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
