Career Opportunity - Pediatrician with The HealthCare Connection in Cincinnati, OH (Lincoln Heights)
The HealthCare Connection is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) currently seeking a Board-certified Pediatrician to provide direct medical care to our patients. The position provides primary care to patients performing a variety of direct patient services including assessment, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and monitoring the general patient management plan for clinic patients. Physician performs these functions in a primary health care setting supporting the vision, mission and core values of the organization.
Organization and Staff Overview: The HealthCare Connection has been operational since 1967 and has strong community and political support.. It is a non-profit organization with six practice locations and is committed to providing quality, culturally sensitive and accessible primary care services to the surrounding area population focusing on the medically underserved, underinsured, and uninsured. On-site services include: family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, obstetrics and gynecology, nurse midwifery, family planning, preventive dental, diagnostic laboratory, HIV testing, immunizations, hearing and vision screening, health education, translation and Medicaid eligibility assistance.
Practice Schedule: Full-time position. The facility is currently open from 9am-5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 7pm. No weekend hours at this time. Call coverage: 5-7 Providers share pediatric calls which are first screened by a service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Medical Degree and Board Certification (COPY OF DEGREE AND BOARD CERTIFICATION MUST BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION)
- 3 years of residency training, prefer one to three years experience in an ambulatory care or other like facility with demonstrated clinical skills
- Ability to work as a team across the entire organization
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and relate to persons from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
