Career Opportunity: Women’s Health RN with The HealthCare Connection in Cincinnati, OH
Are you an RN with experience in OB/GYN looking to work a consistent, regular weekday schedule? Are you recognized for your exceptional patient services and have a passion for influencing quality of care for patients?
The HealthCare Connection is currently seeking a Women’s Health RN. In this role, you will assist providers in providing direct patient care including interviewing the patient, conducting requested screening/tests, responding to telephone inquiries, maintaining equipment and supplies in exam rooms and office, and coordinating referrals for patients. The Women’s Health RN is also responsible for tracking prenatal patients and the data collection of pregnancy outcomes.
You’ll also:
- Provide direct nursing care outside the scope of the MAs and LPNs
- Provide prenatal and postpartum education as needed, including kick counts, warning signs of pregnancy and warning signs of preterm labor
- Assist with telephone and walk-in triage for OB/Gyn patients
- Point Person to complete OB/Gyn Provider Tasks and OB/Gyn related patient calls
- Coordinate Cervical Cancer Screening and Breast Health Screening
- Assure that all necessary paperwork and electronic medical record entries are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Ensure quality care is provided in a professional manner
- Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and/or committees as requested
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor degree and active Ohio license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- 1 year experience in nursing, with prior OB office setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated clinical skills and leadership competencies, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, and team building.
- Solid MS Office skills; experience with EHR systems.
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive information while working with persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Completion of pharmacology program is preferred.
