Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and collecting blood samples from patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a rehab setting
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure patient comfort during the blood collection process, providing excellent patient care and service.
- Maintain accurate records of blood samples collected, including patient information and laboratory requisitions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures in accordance with hospital standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate laboratory testing and results.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory techniques relevant to phlebotomy practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and patient service skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and rehab setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in phlebotomy or related field is highly desirable.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
