Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team at The Healthcare Resort of Kansas City. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient clinics. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Weekends available as well as Tuesday through Thursday with 3x12.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform specialized procedures such as spinal taps and mammography when required.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding family planning and health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate records using ICD-10 coding for billing and documentation purposes.
- Assist in the operating room (OR) as needed, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Support patients in long-term care settings by promoting their independence and well-being.
- Lift and move patients safely, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury.
Experience
Candidates should possess a valid nursing license and relevant clinical experience in acute care or long-term care settings. Familiarity with procedures such as spinal taps, mammography, and family planning is highly desirable. Experience with ICD-10 coding is beneficial. The ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong communication skills is essential. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is expected in this dynamic healthcare environment.
