Overview
The Wellness Director plays a crucial role in overseeing the health and wellness programs within our Assisted Living unit at The Healthcare Resort of Kansas City. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring that residents receive high-quality care while promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of medical terminology, and a commitment to resident rights. The Wellness Director will work collaboratively with the operator and various departments to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the needs of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage wellness staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and resident rights.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique health needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead training sessions for staff on clinical oversight to residents when needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate acute care services as needed.
- Monitor the effectiveness of wellness programs and make necessary adjustments to enhance resident satisfaction.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages open communication among staff, residents, and families.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and organizational policies.
- Work closely with the operator, NP, and outside vendors to ensure health and wellness to all residents.
- Be available on call for any emergent clinical needs for residents.
- Report to facility two days a week to round with residents; complete any admissions; and available to staff during this time.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shift management and supervising healthcare staff.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for them.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and record-keeping practices.
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Active LPN or RN license in the state of Kansas
- Assisted Living experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
