JOB POSTING: Parent Educator (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)

OVERVIEW: Reporting to Program Supervisor for Healthy Families, the Parent Educator provides Healthy Families home visiting services to assigned families. Services are family-centered, strength-based and directed at establishing a trusting relationship; strengthening parent-child relationship; promoting healthy child growth and development; and enhancing family well-being by reducing risk and building protective factors. Parent Educator partners with families and honors diverse family structures and parenting practices.

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with healthcare providers and community resource partners.
- Knowledge of local and regional behavioral health and social service providers.
- Ability to work independently and seek direction from supervisor as needed.
- Willingness to engage in building reflective capacity, i.e., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in working with or providing services to children and their families required. College coursework and infant mental health endorsement preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and a variety of virtual meeting platforms
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a safe driving record and current private auto insurance
- Pre-employment Screening Clearance: Level 2 Background Check, Drug Screening, Local Criminal History Check, and Motor Vehicles Records Check
