What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Parent position at The Heart Matters Foster Family Agency?
The Heart Matters Foster Family Agency is recruiting professional foster parent(s) to provide specialized care and support to youth with complex needs placed in our Enhanced Intensive Services Foster Care Program (E-ISFC).
These parents will receive trauma informed training under the E-ISFC program and mental health staff, in order to appropriately care for these youth and receive 24/7 support from specialized agency personnel.
Professional Foster Parent(s) will be provided room and board, as well as a monthly stipend. The Heart Matters Foster Family Agency can consider other housing assistance alternatives or options in lieu of room and board. Professional Foster Parent(s) can be single, married, domestic partners, etc.
Professional Foster Parent(s) must:
- Reside in either Riverside or San Bernardino County, California.
- Be able to meet the needs of the child and respond to crisis invoicing the child at all times. In order to achieve this, at least one parent may not work outside of the home (if a single parent, must be willing to commit full-time to working with the child).
- Be able and willing to treat all clients regardless of their behavioral history, criminals history, age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
- Must pass FBI/DOJ/Child Abuse background check.
- Be an active participant in all team/collaborative meetings with respect to the child.
- For safety reasons, no other minor children may reside in the home.
