LPN Nurse Manager

We are currently seeking a Full Time LPN Nurse Manager to join our enthusiastic team at The Hearth at Drexel!

The Hearth at Drexel is a premier retirement community in Bala Cynwyd, PA. We take pride in our dedicated team members who support and care for our residents.

Shift/Schedule Available:

• 7:00am - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm

Some job responsibilities include:

• Direct the day-to-day functions of household staff or other nursing personnel.
• Serves as a key contact for residents and families.
• Interview and complete timely evaluations of household staff.
• Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel including household staff comply with the written policies and procedures established by the Facility.
• Ensure clinical follow up is complete on each shift.
• Complete admission /readmission/discharge procedures.
• Responsible for reviewing all incidents on the shift of occurrence and follow-up visits when deemed necessary.
• Investigate and document all complaints, attempts to solve them, and/or refer them at the time the complaint is heard.
• Ensure all regulatory paperwork is in compliance (ASP, DME, quarterly assessments).
• Coordinate and conduct service plan meetings with residents/families/responsible parties.
• Communicate resident problems to physicians and act as resident advocate with physicians, as needed, when event occurs.
• Orient new staff to household.
• Provide in-servicing for staff education compliance.
• Promote and ensure the residents’ well-being and satisfaction by supporting resident directed care, developing and interpreting standards of care, and guiding the interdisciplinary team as it establishes and implements each resident’s plan of care.
• Ensure that documentation, medication administration, resident nursing care, safety and sanitation, personnel and staff development, quality improvement, and resident rights are in compliance with community standards.
• Enhance relationships and teamwork in the household through shared activities of living.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing in recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating household employees.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Current CPR certification.
• Three (3) years’ experience in geriatric nursing and supervisor experience preferred.
