The Hearthstone is looking for a PM Lead Cook to work Sunday-Thursday 10:30am to 7pm. The Lead Cook oversees kitchen preparation and the execution of daily specials, including adding final touches to dishes. Collaborating with the Executive Chef and the Sous Chef, the Lead Cook acquires knowledge in tasks such as ordering, scheduling, menu writing, and all other responsibilities integral to the Executive Chef role.

Job Requirements And Responsibilities
- Prepares menu items in adherence to recipes, taking into account the dietary and nutritional requirements of residents.
- Undertakes tasks such as cutting, peeling, washing, and preparing meats, fruits, and vegetables.
- Verifies the freshness of food and ingredients.
- Rotates and properly stores food supplies.
- Contributes to the training and supervision of cooks.
- Participates in menu planning to ensure the quality of meals.
- Conducts inspections of supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Assists in the ordering and maintenance of food and supply inventory.
- Monitors sanitation practices and adheres to kitchen safety standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- A High school diploma or GED.
- Possesses a working understanding of health and safety rules and regulations relevant to food preparation.
- Familiarity with cooking times and temperatures is crucial, aligning with ServSafe guidelines.
- Knowledgeable about various cuts of meat and seasonings.
- Exhibits proficiency in a diverse array of food preparation techniques and skills.
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and colleagues.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple menus.
