What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Content Intern - Summer 2025 position at The HEAT Group?
The HEAT Group is seeking to hire a Social Media Content Intern who is responsible for ideating and producing content for Miami HEAT, Kaseya Center, Miami HEAT Store and other auxiliary properties via social media platforms. The ideal candidate for this part-time position will be expected to help uplift the Miami HEAT ‘off-court’ brand on engaging social media platforms in an effort to reach all of HEAT Nation across the globe. Experience representing a brand’s social media presence is strongly preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
- Assist in ideating and crafting social media content covering Miami HEAT, Kaseya Center, Miami HEAT Store and other auxiliary properties.
- Assist in covering designated Miami HEAT community events, Kaseya Center, events and any other HEAT Talent appearances, providing content through our social media platforms
- Monitor daily social media trends, conversation and engagement focused around the Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center brands.
- Collaborate with Content and Creative Services departments for successful content development.

Education and/or Experience
- Must be enrolled at an accredited university.
- Must have significant knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms
- Extensive knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media/internet culture
- Above average knowledge of the game of basketball, Miami HEAT team news (both current and historical) and NBA storylines
- Strong writing, creative, and analytical skills
- Social media creativity and swift adaptability to current events
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays for event and possible Miami HEAT game coverage
- Must be detail-oriented, well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner while taking initiative
- Outstanding communication, teamwork, and relationship building skills
- Photography and Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus
- Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be enrolled in college or university and be available to work from June 9 to August 1.
