What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at The Heico Companies?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and Repair Marine and Heavy Civil Contractor's equipment fleet.
- Manage preventative maintenance program for entire equipment fleet, including land-based, floating cranes, and other assets.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair lattice boom crawler (friction and / or hydraulic) cranes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any malfunctions to equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, complete repairs, and test equipment as needed (i.e., hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, and components).
- Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
- Maintain and follow driving guidelines for assigned company vehicles.
- Complete all paperwork thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
- Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Perform all other duties as required by the Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
